This 6 inch diameter interface pad is designed to add controlled cushioning between a backing pad and a grip sanding disc. By softening the contact point, it helps the abrasive follow curves, contours, and rounded surfaces more evenly, reducing the risk of uneven sanding or edge pressure.

The extra-soft foam construction allows the disc to conform naturally to the work surface, making it especially useful for contour sanding and finish-sensitive areas. Installed between the backing pad and abrasive, it provides a smoother, more forgiving sanding action compared to sanding directly on a backing pad alone.
